Hello all, and thank you for dropping by to my new look website, where you will be able to find out more about me and the wonderful world that I'm creating with my children's books.
For those of you who aren't familiar with my work, my debut novel was called Rolo about a boy called Max and a nine-foot tall Giant Walpertinger (often called Bigfoot or Sasquatch) named Rolo! Despite Rolo's appearance, the pair become firm friends and hatch a plan to try to save Max from the clutches of his cruel bossy and lazy aunt, uncle and cousin also known as the Whitfield family.
Next came Terror at the Sweet Shop, the amazing story of sweet shop sabotage has proved so popular with 7-11 year-old's across the UK I'm delighted to say it's now on its second print run. As regulars of McNulty’s Candy Kingdom, there is nothing Oscar Tarrant and his friends Emma, Reece and Ishy like to do more, than visit after school. Run by its jolly namesake, Mr McNulty – the children are shocked when one day he mysteriously disappears.
Replaced by the horrible Miss Primrose, the four friends now have to find out what has happened to Mr McNulty and see how they can stop Miss Primrose from serving revolting, stomach-churning treats.
What follows is an adventure of good versus evil as they discover surprises and secrets as they try to thwart the evil intentions of Miss Primrose.
And my third and latest book, which has just been released is called Chester's Fairground.
In it you get to meet Owen Parker, a child obsessed with video games. None more so than the latest release of the graphic video game 'War Games 5'. Owen has been counting down the days of the release of the video game to only be horrified by its price.
After failing to convince his parents to 'loan' him the money for the video game Owen decides to runaway hoping that this helps them 'reconsider' funding Owen's MUST HAVE. During his time out of the house, Owen notices a yard sale and is soon handed a free video game 'Chester's Fairground' by a very nervous looking teenager.
Owen soon decides to return home where he can try out his new FREE video game by himself.
But this video game will change Owen's life forever as he enters the world of 'Chester's Fairground' with other children who have also entered the Fairground.
What surprises and secrets does Owen discover along the way? Well, you'll have to read on to find out... but we should warn you- this tale is NOT for the faint hearted.
I hope that you enjoy finding out more about all of my books and do get in touch with me if you have any burning questions you would like to ask. It's always great to hear from you, Lawrence :-)
